Physical Connection:

1. Firstly, connect ADSL phone line to ADSL/LINEport of modem router;
2. Also, connect a PC to one of the LAN ports (yellow) with an Ethernet cable;
3. Then, plug the power adapter into the modem and switch on it.
Note that: if you use a splitter to connect your phone as well, check the bellowing:

Light Status:

Check out the lights on the front panel of the modem router, you should have the bellowing lights:
 1) Power light refers to being solid;
·      2) Then, ADSL light implies being solid;

    If ADSL light is flashing or off:

a)Remove the splitter, and connect the phone line directly to the modem
b) Contact ISP to check ADSL line service if it remains off.  
     3) The corresponding LAN light should be on or flashing when a computer is plugged in.
    4) The wireless signal light should also be flashing by default if it is a wireless modem router.

Installation:

However, Before the installation, ensure that you are aware of the username, password, connection type, and VPI/VCI number given by your Internet Service Provider. If you are not sure about the information, contact your ISP to double-check them first.
There are two methods to install the modem router:
1. Method 1 is to run the Easy Setup Assistant with the CD.
2. Method 2 is to run Quick Setup/Quick Starton the web management page.

For Method 1:

Inside the package, there should be a mini-disk which is completely appropriate for windows computers. If you don’t have the CD. Then, you can go to www.tp-link.com to download the software as well;
Moreover, if you have a MAC OS computer or others which can’t support the software, please adopt Method 2.
