In this article, we will discuss the Internet connection after connected to powerline adapter. There are numerous reasons why you may not have an Internet connection. Here is an example of a normal topology of a powerline network.
Step 1:
Firstly, please ensure that the modem or router is currently connected to the Internet. You can easily connect a computer to the device to check.
Step 2:
Ensure that the physical connection is correct. The Ethernet LED should be on. If it is not, then change the Ethernet cable or attempt it again on another computer or device.
Step 3:
Then make sure the Powerline LED lights up on your all adapter. If not, please refer to the Installation Guide in the package to pair them. In addition, you can reset them; plug them into electrical sockets directly; move away from high-power appliances.
Step 4:
Please check the IP of your computers. It should be in your router’s subnet.

Power line products in general, transfer the data through the power line of your home. The power line rate is mainly certain by the quality of the power line environment it’s operating in. When your power line rate is less, you have to try the steps below to improve the quality of service.
Step 1:
Firstly you have to check whether your powerline adapters are plugged directly into an electrical outlet. If not, then move the adapters to an outlet on the wall.
Step 2:
Kindly check if there are electrical devices, which have a motor inside them, around the powerline adapters. Such equipment is air-conditioners, washing machines, electric fans, etc. Move such equipment to another location if possible, or move powerline adapters away from such equipment. To avoid any interference which they cause you may buy a surge protector and plug such equipment into its outlets.
Step 3:
Then, Check if there are AC power adapters, like those used for mobile phones, laptops, or something else around the adapters. If the quality of the AC power adapter is not good, it may cause noise on the power line circuit. Then, move it to another spot away from the Powerline adapters.
Step 4:
Also, check if the distance between the adapters is too far. The maximum covering distance is 300 meters. However, with interference and line quality, it will be hard to reach the full 300 meters.
